Buryun is a tall, slender man with gray skin covered with tree bark. He is not a human, but rather an Ent, the tree-like creature so often associated with wild and open forest floors. Buryun's eyes glow with a yellowish mysterious glow. He has a flexible body. When he moves, his thin figure resembles a tree branch swaying in the wind.
Buryun's early life was one of carefree wandering. His parents had tended to the forests of the world, and Buryun grew up in their shadows. He would play among the roots and swim in the streams that snaked through the wood, never bothered by any of the dangerous creatures that lurked deep inside. However, his childhood bliss was cut short when a group of humans invaded the forest, cutting down his parents to build a new settlement. Buryun witnessed their murder and has carried the pain with him ever since.
Despite his love for nature, Buryun longed to understand the humans who had destroyed his family. He studied their culture and their ways, learning their language and how to blend in among them. Eventually, he became skilled in the art of trickery and swindling, and he used these newfound skills to his advantage - becoming a guard to protect the forest that he so loved.
Buryun's allies are few and far between, but he has found friends in fellow creatures of the woods. He has a deep respect for the plants that he protects and nurtures, and recognizes the importance of their role in the delicate balance of life. Though he doesn't necessarily enjoy being around humans, Buryun will often befriend those who share his reverence for the earth.
As far as hobbies go, Buryun enjoys nothing more than tending to the plants in his forest home. However, he is also an adept warrior and trains regularly to keep his strength up. If he had to choose a favorite weapon, it would be his trusty bow and arrow, which he carves from the trees he protects.
Buryun's life credo is straightforward - to protect and serve the forest that raised him. He is fiercely loyal to those who have earned his trust, and will stop at nothing to ensure that the balance of nature is upheld. His manners are polite, but not overly friendly - he prefers to keep to himself and observe from a distance.
Buryun's secret is that he has a deep fear of fire. His own kind is vulnerable to flames, and he has had to watch entire forests go up in flames before. He is deeply ashamed of his fear, and rarely speaks of it to anyone.
As for disabilities, Buryun prefers to see his unique characteristics as strengths - his bark-like skin protects him from most physical harm, and his natural empathy for nature allows him to draw strength from the plants in his surroundings.
In all, Buryun is a complex creature with a deeply rooted love for the earth.
