These other people talked about travelling, of discovering new lands and of meeting new people. Vestele was intrigued, and began to ask her family and friends about these strange things. They didn't know anything about it, and seemed to be scared of the things that these strangers talked about. Asher, Vestele's mentor and the only other outsider in the village, was the one who taught her the true meaning of happiness. He showed her that it didn't come from outside, but from within. And he showed her how to find that joy. Vestele followed Asher's teachings and began to journey out into the forest, seeking out new knowledge and new friends. She had a natural talent for magic and quickly mastered the art of illusion, which led to her becoming a renowned mage. Vestele's life changed when she met a young human man named Erebus. Erebus was travelling through Ferron and was searching for a way to end the war between the elves and humans. Vestele and Erebus fell in love and moved to the city of Waterdeep to start a new life together. However, Erebus was killed shortly after they arrived, leaving Vestele heartbroken. Vestele spent the next several years struggling to cope with the loss of her love. She worked hard to rebuild her life, but her grief kept her from focusing on her magic. One day, Vestele met a young elven mage named Aegis who helped her relearn her lost magic. Vestele finally regained her strength and began to focus on her magic again. She eventually emerged as one of the most powerful mages in Waterdeep. Vestele now spends her days teaching students and practicing her magic. She is also a member of the city guard and serves as the city's defender. Vestele was happy to finally find a place where she felt accepted for who she was - a female elf with a love for learning. Now, decades later, Vestele still travels the world, seeking knowledge and adventure. She has a daughter and a grand-daughter, but she still holds fast to the beliefs that Asher taught her - that happiness comes from within. And she still looks for new ways to bring joy to others.
