Snastreg Brewshield is known for his happy disposition, his lengthy beard, and his extraordinary skills as a musician. From a young age, Snastreg aspired to entertain others, whether it be through music, storytelling or jesting. He would often gather nearby children and adults and regale them with accounts of his adventures in the wilderness, playing his lute and singing songs of his own creation.

Growing up, Snastreg discovered his niche in the gnome society as a court jester. He quickly gained a reputation for his humour and charisma, leaving most audiences in stitches. However, things took an unexpected turn when Snastreg was witness to a political assassination. Terrified, Snastreg fled from his homeland, determined to never revisit the events of that day.

It was this incident that prompted Snastreg to try his hand at becoming a ruler, a desire he had harboured for years. He spent decades travelling from one city to the next, learning about different cultures and leadership styles. By the time he had reached his two-hundredth year, Snastreg had acquired an impressive amount of knowledge about politics and governance.

Currently, Snastreg is the elected leader of the gnome city of Glimmer Spike, a widely prosperous and peaceful city that has thrived under his leadership. Though he is loved and revered by most gnomes, there are those who resent his power and success. One of his most vocal enemies is a particularly vicious and treacherous rival named Hranden Half-Eye, who has made several attempts on Snastreg's life.

Although Snastreg is a charismatic ruler, he is not immune to the complexities of love. He has been married thrice in his life and has a daughter, whom he cherishes deeply. His son, on the other hand, was born out of wedlock and later died in battle during a tribal war, which left Snastreg mentally shaken.

Snastreg's personality is warm and welcoming, with his easy smile and bubbly nature often drawing in crowds. He sees himself as a servant of his people, approaching every situation with a level head and a keen sense of logic. His life credo is a simple one - treat others as you would wish to be treated.

Snastreg is known by many titles, such as the "Lord of Laughter" and the "Bearer of the Brew". His favourite weapon is a cane, which doubles as a musical instrument. He is often seen tapping it against the ground in time to his music when in deep thought. Snastreg's symbol is a silver cloak clasp, which is a representation of his love for the finer things in life.

Curses and blessings come to Snastreg with equal measure. On mornings when he wakes up with a song in his heart and a spring in his step, he knows that fortune favours him. However, on days when he is plagued by bad luck, his beard will grow inexplicably tangled and his music will sound discordant.

Snastreg's only flaw is his tendency to overindulge in food and drink, leaving him vulnerable to the odd element of gluttony. Despite this, however, he remains humble and grounded, with a deep respect for the world around him.
