Odol Hirley is a male human mage. His family origin is from the kingdom of Dalania, located in the northeast of the continent of Oceania. When he was young, Odol was taken to a monastery in the kingdom of Tobaro to be raised as a monk.
After learning the ways of the church and spending years living out a simple and devout life, Odol decided he wanted more out of life. He left the monastery and travelled the world, learning as much as he could about the magic that existed. When he returned to Dalania, Odol began to study magic again, this time focusing on the arcane methods of spellcasting.
As he grew more experienced, Odol decided that he wanted to learn more about the deeper mysteries of magic, and so he travelled to different parts of the world to learn from the most insightful masters of the craft.
One day, during a magical experiment gone wrong, Odol was infected with a powerful dark magic spell. The infection caused him great pain and he nearly died, but he was saved by his teacher. Odol was now a changed man.
The dark magic had twisted his mind and he had become a magecraft addict.
He continued to study and learn, but he no longer cared about the welfare of his family or the well-being of society. Odol simply wanted to find necromancy and use it to bring death and destruction to all who opposed him.
Odol eventually left the academy and set out on his own to find necromancy. He eventually discovered a hidden cave containing a trove of dark necromancy artifacts. Odol soon became the most powerful necromancer in the region and began plotting to bring death and destruction to all he met.
Unfortunately, Odol’s quest brought him into conflict with the local mage council and the armies of the kingdom.
Odol is a calm and collected mage who is consumed by the desire for power. He is skilled in the arcane magicks and is feared by many. Odol is also a close friend of the monk Galdo and they share a common life philosophy. Odol believes that any act of kindness is more honorable than any act of magic.
Odol is also a fan of good food, and he is always happy to try new dishes. His favorite food is roasted rabbit, but he is also fond of seafood and lamb dishes. Odol's symbol is a staff topped with a crystal ball. He uses it to focus his magic and to cast spells.
Odol desires to meet someone special and share a life with her. Though he is afraid of being discovered, Odol trusts that he can overcome his fears and find someone who will accept him for who he is.
Odol also has a talent for dreamwalking and uses this ability to explore the deepest secrets of the world.
