Gens comes from an unusual family origin. Her mother was a sorceress, while her father was a knight, and their love affair was full of passion and drama. However, both of her parents felt a strong bond with their daughter and secured their protection accordingly.

Gens's family life was cursed with many tragedies. Her father died on the battlefield when she was a mere child, leaving her mother behind to raise her alone. While her mother tried to provide for her child as best she could, their lifestyle was full of hardship and adversity. Gens grew up in a world of magic, mystery, and poverty, and this early environment shaped her personality profoundly.

One of the things that Gens remembers the most from her childhood was her mother's calmness in the face of danger. She would often tell Gens fortune and soothe her fears with her wise predictions. Her mother had quickly realized that Gens had a unique gift when it came to predicting the future. Her soothsayer abilities were hereditary, and her mother had foreseen a great destiny for Gens.

Training quickly commenced. Gens studied under her mother's tutelage and received a monk's education through religious networks. She learned many skills that complemented her soothsaying skills; she learned magic, fighting with various weapons, and often practiced Zen exercises for mental exercises in concentration and focus.

As she progressed in her training, Gens also learned more about her hidden power: she could receive prophecies from the echoes in the life forces of those around her.

Over the years, Gen's predictions become even more accurate, enhanced by the natural empathy that emerged when people were in her life-force detection range. This ability alarmed certain quarters over its effectiveness, cultivation of dark intentions infiltrated into sociopolitical systems sending their trusted operatives to spy on Gens secretly behalf.

Sometime thereafter, another disastrous event occurred. Gens's mother died while seeking revenge from her unknown attackers. This event broke Gens's devotion to her faith with disdain mingling within, and forced her maneuver her way to continue her destiny solo.

Love is something that still hasn't happened naturally for Gens yet, yet she awaits to experience if prophetic fate must develop. Regardless, she continues to dream about what lies ahead, secure in the knowledge that she has inherited the considerable legacy of her unusual family origin.
