Glof Kivrotsk was born in the city of Varna, on the eastern coast of the continent of Epirus. His family was of mixed origin, his father being a human and his mother a dragon. Glof was unusually gifted as a child, and quickly showed a talent for magic. At the age of 15, he was accepted into the Wizard's Academy in Varna, and quickly became known as one of the most promising students in the school.
Early in his training, Glof met a young woman named Elisabeta. She was a beautiful and talented mage, and soon Glof fell in love with her. However, Elisabeta was married to another man, and could not marry Glof because of this. Glof continued to pursue her, however, and eventually they were able to overcome their obstacles and marry. Elisabeta gave birth to Glof's daughter, Isabella, in 514AD.
During his time as a student at the Wizard's Academy, Glof also studied DRAGON magic, and soon became one of the best practitioners of that form of magic. In 533AD, he graduated from the Academy and began to work as a scholar in the city of Varna.
Over the years, Glof became well-known as a scholar, and he was often called on to provide expert opinions on magical matters on behalf of the city of Varna. He also continued to study DRAGON magic, and in 547AD he achieved the rank of Master Dragon Mage.
In 565AD, Glof and Elisabeta retired to their cottage in the countryside outside of Varna. However, Elisabeta died a few years later, in 568AD, and Glof was left alone to care for Isabella.
Over the years, Glof has continued to study magic and to write scholarly articles on magical subjects. He has also taught classes on magic at the Wizard's Academy, and he remains one of the most respected magicians in Epirus.
As a scholar, Glof is also well-versed in the MYTHS and LEGENDS of dragon culture, and he is often called upon to speak on those subjects in public forums.
