Kemet
Born of a world both fantastical and frightfully real, Kemet exists not as an ordinary hero. His very essence blurs the lines between what we consider man, and what natural order deems as wood. An Ent, a humanoid tree crafted by nature, Kemet manifests as a warrior of green, a planar prediction of mankind's future.
Painted with nurturing hues of forest green and rugged brown, his form pays homage to his familial ancestry. His roots run deep, connecting with the very heart of Mother Nature, while his branches reach high, almost touching the sun's golden glimmer. The echo of ancient arborescent souls reverberates through him, whispered secrets carried on the evening breezes. His family, untraditional yet as immutable as the seasons, comprises towering oaks, weeping willows, and ancient redwoods.
In his sapling days, Kemet often explored beyond his rooted boundaries. His heartwood, still soft with youth, held a curiosity that drew him towards the beyond. The memory of his first brush against the wind remains etched in his bark, an everlasting testament to the freedom he tasted.
During this period of his early life, his companion was a mewling feline cub Ren, who had inexplicably found solace among his sturdy limbs. This unlikely friendship kindled Kemet's protective instincts, shaping him into a protector long before his branches could herald him as an Ent.
As the seasons passed, Kemet embraced the knowledge whispered by the winds. His education was not of stuffy classrooms and stale textbooks, but of nature's subtle language. He learned about the silent symphony of photosynthesis, the refuge of root cellars, and the stoic strength of hardwood.
Kemet fulfills a unique role in this green realm, honored and burdened by the title of Nature's Conduit. His current occupation requires him to maintain the balance between the tangible realm of men and the subtle currents of nature—an arboreal mage holding the reins of a wild, elemental magic.
Among his moss-laden peers, Kemet holds a special bond with one particular redwood, Cerdan. The towering giant carries the wisdom of centuries layered beneath his thick bark and lends much-needed counsel and companionship to Kemet.
Kemet's life advances as the rhythm of nature, pulses like the patter of rain on leaves and as unpredictable as a storm's fury. No official marriage bonds his heart, but there exists an unspoken pact between him and the jungle, a marriage of the forest green and sky blue, of mutual respect and protection.
Believing in the sacred balance of life, Kemet's credo is of peace, patience, and persistence. He staunchly believes that every creature, every leaf, and every pebble forms an indispensable chain in the cosmic order.
Regardless of his understanding, even his world isn't free from claws of tragedy. A great fire, perhaps most pitiless of all nature's furies, swept through his homeland, reducing proud oaks to pitiful embers and scarring Kemet. Despite his loss, he rose from the ashes stronger and more determined.
Now, Kemet forever carries the testament of this traumatic event. Rigidity marring his once supple branches serve a constant reminder of his suffering and survival. Yet, with his disability came an existential depth and a broader understanding of the cycle of life.
An emblem of an existence transcending human comprehension, Kemet represents himself through an ancient rune, entwined roots nurturing a sprawling sapling—an embodiment of unity, strength, resilience, and blooming life.
