Dhegars
Dhegars was born into a pack of beastmen in the outskirts of a bustling city. From a young age, he showed an inclination towards fighting and was quickly initiated into the pack's warriors.
The boy did not know his father, who had left before he was born. But his beloved mother, a kind-hearted and wise beastwoman, taught him a great deal about freedom and how to make his way in such a dangerous world.
Growing up was a hard time for Dhegars, as he witnessed some harrowing things working in the city watch. He soon became tough and skilled, for the streets of the city were filled with danger around almost every corner.
One of Dhegars' colleagues became a lifetime friend, a fellow warrior named Gamal. They bonded early on, sharing their love of food, drink, and fighting, but underneath was a grim understanding of the horror that surrounded them.
Dhegars, who stands apexes taller than any human, assisted with every task presented. He fought off horrific monsters and culled the criminal atmosphere of the city.
Dhegars' personality is intense and unpredictable. He suppressed his primal instinct and raised his intelligence quotient to maraud much more effectively.
Dhegars has experienced great tragedies in his eternal quest for justice in the city, having lost close friends, comrades, and his own daughter. Traumatized by his recent loss, he temporarily distances himself from friends and isolated.
His mentor, Atebet was a wise and seasoned beastman who schooled him in hand-to-hand combat techniques that he employed as a city watchman. If it wasn't for Atebet, Dhegars would not be anywhere at the top of the warrior league.
Now aged 54, Gamal remains his closest friend, and although he’s retired he still tends to buy one or two drinks, let loose the occasional "dirty joke" or discuss political turmoil in the local civic society.
Dhegars' daughter was named Lilynette. She sought adventure and danger like her father and, unfortunately, she was slain in action. Dhegars' son never forgave the old city watch chief for the death of his sister, locked himself in sorrow and rarely visited.
Dhegars still reckons others only judge him by his exterior, the label of living in the shadow of his mundane father ruffles him from time to time. His life mantra is carved onto his armor at times: "our existence flows on great upheavals, resilience is about formulating a stance capable of addressing all those shifts."
