Befala Pofuramys was born on a small, isolated mountain dwarf colony in the far north of the continent. She was the sixth child of her parents and the only female in her family. When she was young, her parents taught her about the importance of family and tradition, and how to be a strong, independent woman.

Since childhood, Befala has been fond of medicine. She treated her dolls, puppies and kittens with pleasure. Her best friends were two sisters from the clan of beastmen, who, with their appearance and habits, were similar to foxes. Together with her friends, Befana began to travel to other countries. She liked to observe how other creatures live, study other people's customs and absorb the knowledge of medicine accumulated by different races over many centuries.

It was on one such journey that Befala met her future husband. Befala and her girlfriends were driving along a deserted mountain road when they were attacked by a group of goblin bandits. The Badits took away the documents, money and transport from the girls and left them alone on an empty road. A passing knight helped them get to the city. He was kind and considerate, put them up in a hotel, gave them some money, and promised to return all the lost things. Two days later, Cowell, that was the name of the knight, brought the girls passports and money. Befana and Cowell liked each other. They corresponded for several months, and then decided to get married.

Cowell came from a wealthy noble family from the kingdom of the Blue Mountains. Marriage to Befana, a poor student from the forest gnome clan, was not part of the family's plans. The father of the family set a strict condition for his son - to give up Befana. But Cowan acted differently. He left his family, his country and moved to the kingdom of Befana to be with her. Young people are very happy and love each other very much.
