Nubeg Marbledelver is a male dwarf with a long, bushy beard that he has meticulously groomed for as long as he can remember. His nature is that of a sage, always seeking knowledge and understanding of the world around him. Nubeg was born into a large family of dwarves who lived deep underground in a vast network of tunnels and chambers. Growing up, he spent most of his time tending to the family farm and exploring the dark, twisting tunnels that surrounded his home.
As a young dwarf, Nubeg became fascinated with the workings of the world and decided to become an investigator. He spent many years mastering the art of detecting, learning everything he could about the workings of the land above and below ground. His mentor was a wise old dwarf named Borken Stonefist, who taught Nubeg to always think before acting and to never take anything at face value.
Over the years, Nubeg's investigative skills grew sharper, and he began to take on more challenging cases. He eventually became one of the most respected investigators in the dwarf community, and many came to him for advice on anything from missing family members to stolen treasure.
Currently, Nubeg spends much of his time reading and studying the histories of the dwarven people. His best friend is a fellow investigator named Fikin Stoutaxe, who he has worked with on many cases over the years.
Although he has lived a long and mostly honorable life, Nubeg has also experienced some betrayals. One of his most significant regrets is that he was not able to spend more time with his daughter and son, who both passed away from a terrible sickness many years ago. Nubeg's life credo is "knowledge is power," a belief that has guided him through many difficult situations.
Nubeg's most incredible adventure occurred when he discovered an ancient tome that contained dark knowledge of the Old Gods. This life-defining event led to his nickname as the "Seeker of Forbidden Knowledge."
Although he has accomplished much in his long life, Nubeg's flaw is that he is sometimes too cautious, and this has caused him to miss opportunities in the past. His talent lies in his analytical mind, which he uses to solve even the most complex mysteries.
Although Nubeg has never committed a significant crime himself, he has helped bring many criminals to justice over the years. His favorite weapon is his trusty old warhammer, which he has used in countless battles against a variety of foes.
