Pal Karkuz was born to a poor family on the outskirts of a small town in the central part of the continent. His parents were farmers, but they were always too preoccupied with their own problems to give him the attention he needed. As a result, Pal learned to do things for himself and taught himself to read, write, and do mathematics. He was a bright child and quickly became one of the most skilled mages on the continent.

He began to have the ability to control touch, change the general state, which has an increased component. For example, the ability to direct a bullet in the opposite direction to the point that you can kill the shooter. It is possible to kick a stone and strengthen its vector, accelerating it to tremendous speeds. Or control the movement of the Earth, borrow the energy of its rotation and throw a high-rise building at a speed close to the speed of light. This also includes the ability to create a vector field around the body, which automatically reflects any threat, even if the owner of the ability himself does not know about it. Absolute protection that will save even from a nuclear bomb, since radiation, shock wave, heat will simply change their direction and do no harm.

One day, Pal met a group of pirates who were looking for a new member to join their crew. He was only thirteen at the time, but he was so smart and brave that the pirates accepted him. For the next six years, Pal sailed the seas with the pirates, learning how to fight and how to plunder.

One day, Pal and the pirates came across a fleet of merchant ships. The pirates decided to attack, and Pal used his magic to help them win the battle. As a result, he became a famous pirate and was able to retire at the age of twenty-eight with a fortune of gold and jewels.

Now, Pal spends his days studying magic and looking for new opportunities to plunder. He is proud of his violent past and believes that anyone who stands in his way will be crushed. His life creed is "No one is worth saving, except for yourself."

Life has been good to Pal Karkuz, but he has never been content. He dreamed of finding a place where he could use his magic to help others, but he never expected to find that place within the walls of a magical academy. He is now a professor of magic at the academy and uses his powers to help others in need. He is also married to a woman who is as brave and as smart as he is. Together, they have two children.
