His best friend and protector within the caravan is a small, unassuming rat named Fidelle. Contrary to what many might believe, Fidelle is a formidable creature. Her keen senses assist Surged in detecting any potential threats before they become a reality. Their connection transcends the bonds of friendship as Surged wears a small iron rat pendant, representing their unwavering loyalty and trust.

Surged’s only regret weighs heavily on him; the beloved daughter he once had. She was a brilliant young golem with a heart of gold, but fate had other plans. Tragedy struck when bandits raided their village and, in the ensuing chaos, they were separated. Though Surged tried to protect her, fate denied him. To this day, Surged is haunted by the memories and is determined to find a way back to her, no matter how long that journey may take.

Away from the battlefield, Surged is much like any other being. His favorite food is apples; the crunch and sweetness remind him of simpler times. Though they provide no sustenance, the taste brings a smile to his face. Surged also takes delight in his attempts of humor, often joking with friends and finding ways to lighten the mood. One particular joke has become his favorite: "What's heavier - a pound of iron or a pound of feathers? ...They both weigh the same!"
